Monday: Discipleship
LIFE CHANGE - 52 Salvations: We will present the Gospel at every opportunity, pray for people to be saved, and expect God to answer positively.
LIFE CHANGE - 52 Baptisms: We will schedule, prioritize, and encourage the step of baptism as a public display of faith in Jesus.
LIFE CHANGE - 75 Commit to a church-wide, year-long Bible reading program & plan.
LIFE CHANGE - EVERY NEW BELIEVER participates in the New Believers Course.
CONNECTIONS - That we will GROW to 25 GROUPS. This includes Community Groups, Small Groups, and Bible Studies. People will realize the need to be connected, grow spiritually, and develop strong relationships.
Tuesday: Families
STRENGTHEN FAMILIES - Provide Multiple Parenting Tools: We will be a church that protects, builds, values, and equips parents to thrive.
STRENGTHEN FAMILIES - Marriage Retreat: We will equip marriages to be strong, healthy, healing, alive, and vibrant and pray that broken marriages would be restored.
GROW YOUNGER - 52 New Families with young kids/teens. We will be a church committed to reaching families and BE CONSUMED with reaching the next generation for Jesus.
Wednesday: Local & Global Missions
LOCAL MISSIONS - We will participate in at least SIX local mission trips serving the greater Fruitport and Muskegon area with the goal of being known as a church that is FOR the people in our community.
GLOBAL MISSIONS - Pray For Our Global Partners:
Mark Sterken - throughout the Caribbean.
Antonio & Diana Navarrete - Mexico.
Ethan & Myriah Burns - Ecuador.
GLOBAL MISSIONS - Add THREE New Global Partners: We will expand our global reach by financially supporting THREE new international mission partnerships or projects.
GLOBAL MISSIONS - Genesis Mission Trip: We will engage in two foreign missions opportunities this year for the purpose of potentially bringing teams in 2026.
Thursday: Next Generation
STUDENTS - Our teen program would grow to 30+ kids meeting weekly and committed to sharing and serving Jesus.
GENKIDS - Our Sunday GenKids program will be FULLY staffed for two services — requires 40 people committed to teaching Jesus to our kids.
GENKIDS - More space to allow for growth and activity (multi-purpose room).
CAMP - We will send 25 kids to Lake Ann Camp through our Kids Go To Camp program.
STUDENTS - Our teens would have their own space to meet and grow (Student Center).
Friday: Growth
NUMERICAL GROWTH - Our ATTENDANCE will grow to 400+: We will be a church that prays, expects, and plans for significant growth.
NUMERICAL GROWTH - 2nd Service: We will add a 2nd service on March 16, 2025, and begin plans for adding a THIRD service.
FINANCES - Giving would MEET and EXCEED budget every month. That people would realize it takes money to make ministry work. That giving would be abundant, generous, and exceed the amount needed to match our dreams.
CHRISTMAS OFFERING 2025 - We would be challenged to give sacrificially to this year’s Christmas Offering with a BIG goal of $125,000.
Saturday: Leadership
THE GENESIS STAFF - Ask God to protect, guide, and lead the staff (Pastor Jamey & Cheryl, Pastor Kyle & Charissa Abel, Melissa Peoples, Tyler Newsted, Matt & Shalise Denny, Brendan Lee, Hannah Abel).
THE GENESIS LEADERSHIP TEAMS - Ask God to protect, guide, and lead the Elder & Deacon Teams of our church (Nick Reed, Tim Essenberg, Tim Field, Kevin Merrill, John Wierenga, Randy Lillmars, Justin Perfit, Jordan Fletcher, Tim Schuitema).
Sunday - Miscellaneous
100% SERVING - Every Regular Attender Will Serve in an area according to their passion and giftedness.
100% SHARING & INVITING - We will unashamedly talk about Jesus and invite everyone to church.
